1. Governance:
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of all members is the highest decision making level of the organization. Currently, NAFGEM has 110 members in 8 districts of the Kilimanjaro and Manyara region. The Executive Committee of 8 members supervises NAFGEM’s activities on a daily basis. The committee is made up of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, the Secretary and representatives from all districts.

2. Management:
In collaboration with NAFGEM's members, anti-FGM activities are planned, implemented and monitored by NAFGEM employees working under the Executive Coordinator. Other staff at NAFGEM include the Project Manager, the Field Officers, the Accountant and other support staff. At present, NAFGEM has two offices; the main office is situated in Moshi and a Field Office at Orkesumet, Simanjiro district.

3. Members:
Members of NAFGEM are individual men and women who are committed to the fight against FGM and other forms of gender-based violence (GBV). To become a member, an individual has to pay a subscription and an annual fee predetermined by the Executive Committee. Currently, NAFGEM has 110 members with diverse expertise ranging from ordinary community members to teachers, health workers and social workers.

4. District Working Teams:
Members of NAFGEM in each district form the District Working Team in the areas the organization operates. The teams consist of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and all remaining members.
